If you or a loved one has been affected by crime or sudden tragedy, support is available, night or day, including weekends. The support we provide is free and confidential.
Victim Services of Peterborough & Northumberland (VSPN) offers immediate and confidential support to individuals who have been affected by crime, tragic events, and traumatic circumstances. Our staff are trained to provide compassionate assistance, crisis intervention, and personalized referrals to help survivors begin to heal.
The services that our team provides are client-centred and were created to assist people when they are experiencing vulnerability:
Compassionate, understanding, and private help for victims of crime or tragedy, with features that include emotional support, case status updates, and help navigating the system.
Providing short-term financial support to help individuals in the aftermath of serious violent crimes. This assistance helps cover urgent expenses so that victims and their families can stabilize and feel safe during a time of crisis.
At VSPN, we provide specialized, trauma-informed support for those affected by human trafficking, including sex trafficking, labour trafficking, and related forms of exploitation.
At VSPN, we have a set of core values that guide every interaction; these values include Compassion for all, trust that has to be earned through confidentiality and respect, and belief in renewal and healing from the trauma. We know that everyone’s story is different, and we are here to meet you at your point of need and support you through your journey.
The work of VSPN only happens because of the strength of our community. By donating or collaborating as a partner, your support is helping us to be able to offer life-saving services to those in crisis.
