Our organization provides practical assistance, emotional support, and community connection to support people as they build resilience and recover from their vulnerable moments. Our Mission

Victim Services Peterborough Northumberland is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to supporting individuals who have experienced the devastating impacts of crime or tragic circumstances. Guided by principles of compassion, equity, and empowerment, we provide trauma-informed, immediate, and person-centered support to anyone in Peterborough and Northumberland navigating the aftermath of crime or sudden tragedy.

Our mission extends beyond crisis response, as we actively engage in violence prevention through community education, collaboration, and advocacy. Victim Services of Peterborough & Northumberland started its mission to provide support to people and their families at their most critical moments. The organization started as a community-based initiative which developed into a fundamental community service that delivers unconditional support to people during crises.

Our organization has adapted to regional changes by developing new services while expanding our staff and establishing solid connections with law enforcement, healthcare providers and community organizations. Our organization has developed through active compassion, which combines partnership strength with renewed hope for every person we help.

Our organization continues to build its narrative by delivering daily impact to those we serve. We stand as a reliable organization which provides both advocacy and care services to people facing difficult situations.
